U19 World Cup action sees India bowl out USA for 107, with Nitish Reddy Sudini scoring the highest 36
India Under-19 began their U19 World Cup campaign with a strong bowling show against USA Under-19. After winning the toss, India chose to bowl first and immediately took control of the match.
From the opening overs, the Indian bowlers bowled with discipline and energy. They kept the USA batters under constant pressure and did not allow them to settle.
USA Lose Wickets Regularly Under Pressure
USA tried to build their innings at the start, but early wickets shifted the momentum in India’s favour. As the innings went on, Indian bowlers struck at regular intervals and stopped partnerships from forming.
Nitish Reddy Sudini top-scored for USA with 36 runs off 52 balls. Adnit Jhamb added 18 runs, while Sahi Garg and wicketkeeper Arjun Mahesh scored 16 runs each. However, these efforts failed to lift the innings.
USA eventually collapsed and were bowled out for 107 runs in 35.2 overs. They scored at a run rate of 3.03 and received only 5 extras.
Henil Patel Delivers Match-Winning Spell
Henil Patel starred with the ball and picked up five wickets to break the USA batting line-up. He bowled accurately and struck at key moments to put India firmly in control.
He received good support from Ambrish R S, Kanishk Chouhan, Khilan Patel, Vihaan Manoj Malhotra, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhigyan Abhishek Kundu, who maintained pressure throughout the innings.
