The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium witnessed a spectacle as Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma demolished the Mumbai Indians’ bowling attack, scoring 62 off 24 balls and 63 off 23 balls, respectively. Head’s lightning-fast fifty in just 18 balls set a new benchmark for SRH batsmen. Meanwhile, Sharma swiftly surpassed Head’s record by reaching his fifty in a mere 16 deliveries. Heinrich Klaasen, known for his six-hitting prowess, then took the stage in the final overs, leaving the fans awestruck with a thrilling 34-ball 80.
MI’s debutant Kwena Maphaka had a tough start, giving away 66 runs in his four overs, with 20 runs in his second over and 22 runs in his third over.
