Zoom has launched its AI-driven collaboration platform, Zoom Workplace, alongside enhancements to its app.

The launch of Zoom’s AI-powered, open collaboration platform was announced on Tuesday. Zoom Workspace is centered around improving connections and productivity.
The company also revealed enhancements to its existing app, including new AI Companion features for Zoom Phone, Team Chat, Events, and Contact Center. These platform-wide features were detailed in a press release.
The Ask AI Companion feature will provide a fresh method for engaging with AI across Zoom’s platform. It will gather information from Zoom Meetings, Mail, Team Chat, Notes, and Docs to prepare a work schedule.
Moreover, the Companion will have the ability to produce meeting summaries, show relevant action items, draft agendas, and summarize chat and email threads, along with documents.
In a later update, Zoom plans to enhance the AI companion with third-party app support, expanding its functionality.
Zoom will maintain Workplace as an open platform, providing its API’s, SDK’s, and 2,500 integrations in the Zoom App Marketplace.
