Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 to Feature Same Processor as Galaxy S24 Models

Must read

New Delhi: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is anticipated to launch later this year, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, followed by a more budget-friendly Galaxy Z Fold FE. According to a tipster, the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will likely come with the same processor found in the recently released Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models in international markets. This clamshell-style foldable phone currently stands as Samsung’s most economical option in the Galaxy Z series.

Tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) suggested on X (formerly Twitter) that Samsung might outfit the Galaxy Z Flip 6 with an Exynos 2400 processor. Earlier this year, the company introduced the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with this chip in international markets, excluding North America and China, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra came with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor worldwide.

Given Samsung’s choice to use its Exynos processor in the more affordable Galaxy S24 models, its rumored inclusion in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 seems plausible. Notably, the Exynos 2400 has proven to be a strong competitor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 earlier this year.

The Exynos 2400 boasts a high-performance Arm Cortex-X4 core with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz, along with four Cortex-A720 cores (two at 2.9GHz and two at 2.6GHz), and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores clocked at 1.92GHz. It’s also Samsung’s first processor to utilize the Fan-out Wafer Level Package (FOWLP), which is said to enhance thermal management for sustained performance.

Recent leaks regarding the purported Galaxy Z Flip 6 suggest that it will feature a larger cover display compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which debuted in the second half of year 2023 with a 3.4-inch cover screen. Additionally, this year’s clamshell-style foldable from Samsung is rumored to come with a larger battery and up to 12GB of RAM. Further details about the phone are expected to emerge ahead of its anticipated release in July.
